Here's a few tips and pointers to keep in mind when inquiring about RV rental at Sonny's RVs

Know the Different Types
-Class C Motorhome: This RV type is built with a van can with an extra cab over the driver's compartment. This space usually accomodates for a sleeping area. Class C's usually have a separate dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen table converts into an additional bed, great for extra space! Class C's are smaller than Class A motorhomes and are a good fit for groups around five people.
-Travel Trailers: These are great for towing behind trucks and SUVs depending on the weight of the trailer. You should double check your car has the capacity to tow travel trailers of various sizes. These RV's have kitchens, bathrooms and a few sleeping areas. Travel Trailers are perfect for groups ranging from four to six people.
-Class A Motorhome: This is the largest of the motorhome types. Class A motorhomes are categorized as luxurious and spaceous. Majority of Class A motorhomes have one to three slideouts depending the model. This allows for extra space either in the bedrooms and or kitchen. Class A motorhomes can accomodate large families or groups who prefer a lot of room. Keep in mind the bigger the RV the more difficult to drive and maneuver.
-Class B Motorhome: Usually referred to as an oversized van. This RV type usually has an extended roof and are designed with a kitchen, bed and sometimes a bathroom. Class B's are great for groups of two to three people.
-Fifth Wheel: This is another pull behind RV similar to a travel trailer. The biggest difference is a fifth wheel attaches to the bed of a truck rather than the tailgate. Fifth Wheels are good for a larger group, usually has two to three sleeping areas and sometimes bunks.

Know your Group Size

When deciding on the type of RV to rent for your vacation be sure to consider how many people will be traveling with you. Once you have your head count, then start thinking of where everyone is going to sleep. This will help you decide which type of RV will be best for your family or group. It's also important to relay information to the rest of the group so they know what to expect when the trip starts.

Budgeting

When budgeting for your RV rental, don't forget to include extra fees outside of the nightly rental rate. Consider the cost of insurance for your trip. Also, gas and cleaning fees for when returning your RV, once your trip is finished. Be sure to set a budget and follow it when booking and making plans as it will make planning a lot easier. Bonus Tip: don't forget to budget for miscellaneous expenses, you never know what might come up once you get on the road.

Book in Advance

Once you have your group determined and know what type of RV to rent it's best to go ahead and book your RV rental. Rentals are booked quickly especially during the summer months and school holidays. There's nothing worse than having your whole trip planned but no RV to rent.

Secure Items Inside the RV

When driving or towing your RV rental always be sure to secure your belongings. Items inside the RV tend to shift and move around. To prevent any accidents or breakage always tie down your items and latch cabinets. Don't forget to clear off countertops and tables before getting back on the road.

Picking Up and Dropping Off

Always allow for extra time when picking up and dropping off your RV rental. You may have some additional paperwork to complete or it may take longer than expected to hook up or detach your RV. Big tip: be sure to bring all booking information with you, you will most likely need it for confirmation purposes.
